Music City Center Protest

Starting Tuesday May 4, 2009 a weekly protest will be held against the acquisition of land and construction of Music City Center, Nashville's proposed new convention center. We will gather on the public square in front of the Metro Courthouse every Tuesday night around 5:30 p.m. Metro Council Meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. This will be a weekly protest of the plans to build Music City Center, Nashville's new Convention Center. If you oppose the purchase of land for Music City Center or the construction of Music City Center come join us to let Metro Council know we do not want them building Music City Center. We should continue to protest until they drop the idea of building Music City Center. When votes come before the Metro Council on this issue we will already have a protest in place. Tell as many people as you know about this. This is a major issue for Nashville, especially in these economic times. Please consider joining this protest regardless of you political affiliation.
