“Clean Up Madison Day” March 21

MADISON - All Madison residents and businesses are asked to take pride in their community by participating in "Clean Up Madison Day” on Saturday, March 21, 2009. Participants are asked to meet at Fifty Forward Madison Station, located at 301 Madison Street, at 8:00 am. Donuts and coffee will be provided. After the morning “power-up”, participants will be assigned to clean up various areas along Gallatin Road in Madison.

The Madison-Rivergate Area Chamber of Commerce is cosponsoring this event with the Metro Beautification and Environment Commission, which is providing the gloves, shirts, and trash bags for the day.

Celebrating their 56th anniversary in 2009, the Madison-Rivergate Area Chamber of Commerce’s mission is to enhance the economic and civic interests of Madison through the promotion of business and community. “Clean Up Madison Day” is an annual event designed to bring these two entities together to show pride in their community.
