Kroger Returns OAN to Area Stores

TTPC Praises Kroger on Permitting GLBT Community Paper in Area Stores

The Tennessee Transgender Political Coalition (TTPC) praises the recent decision by Kroger to allow Out and About Newspaper into several Nashville area stores. TTPC was one of the groups which participated in the recent The "Save Your Receipt(s)" campaign in response to the banning of the GLBT community newspaper by Kroger and Harris Teeter. Harris Teeter remains silent and has made no public statement about diversity and inclusion of community voices.

As we gather with family and friends this week, let us all remember the words in the Declaration of Independence that "All Men Are Created Equal." The Tennessee Transgender Political Coalition will continue working to ensure that those words will have meaning for all people regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity or expression.

We wish you a Happy and Safe Independence Day Holiday.

Marisa Richmond
President
